Against Gay Marriage
This page will contain sample newspaper ads against Gay Marriage. You can down load these newspaper ads and give to your church leadership for approval. Insert the name of your church and make any changes that you wish.
Why are newspaper ads important? The wording on the constitutional amendment is very confusing. A "Yes" vote is a vote to not allow the state of Alabama to recognize "Gay Marriages" from other states. By reading the wording on the ballot, must people will be confused as to wither to vote "Yes" or "No". It is crucial that you inform people in your church that they should vote "Yes" for Traditional Marriage. Otherwise, we will all be embarassed if people in your church or community vote "No".
We have presented arguments against gay marriage as it is not God's way.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH DEFENDER OF TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE
"Before you remove a fence, you need to ask why that fence was erected in the first place." There is a societal and Scriptural fence that was erected by Almighty God about 6,000 years ago. Many in our culture are seeking to tear down that fence of "Traditional Marriage" which was built by God. "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24.
You have the opportunity to maintain the fence of Traditional Marriage if you vote "Yes" on Tuesday, June 6.

LET US MAINTAIN TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE
Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whore mongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4
Our forefathers established moral laws to encourage people to live a
moral life within the bounds of a marriage. Furthermore, they wrote laws designed to discourage or suppress those living in an immoral lifestyle of living in adultery or a form of adultery called "homosexuality". These laws began in Colonial America and have been sustained as valid laws even in this modern area. Let us respect the
wisdom of our forefathers. A "YES" vote on June 6, will maintain the tradition of marriage.

FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST TEACHES BIBLICAL TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE
The Bible makes it clear that the gay homosexual lifestyle is evil and is called "vile affection" in Romans 1:26. Fortunately, we have a loving and forgiving Saviours,
who is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9. This is our prayer for the gay community. Furthermore, let us maintain the Biblical tradition of marriage by voting "Yes" on the constitutional amendment on June 6.

Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
On Resurrection Day, what will you tell Jesus if he asks you what did you do to be "salt of the earth". Don't be ashamed to give an answer in that day. Place a newspaper ad and be a light to your community.
